1. The “7-Day Testing Warranty”
Because we deal in high-performance electronics, we offer a 7-Day Testing Window for all items (New and UK-Used). This gives you one full week to ensure the battery, screen, and software are performing at 100%.
2. Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a return or an exchange, please ensure:
- Timeframe: You must notify us within 7 days of the delivery or pickup date.
- Condition: The device must be in its original physical condition (no scratches, cracks, or liquid damage).
- Packaging: All original boxes, chargers, and manuals must be returned.
- Security Seal: The Ernest Gadgets Security Sticker on the device must be intact and untampered with.
3. Non-Returnable Scenarios
We cannot accept returns or provide refunds for:
- Physical Abuse: Dropped phones, cracked screens, or “bent” laptop hinges.
- Water Damage: Any signs of moisture or liquid entry.
- Software Tampering: Devices that have been rooted, jailbroken, or have had unauthorized third-party OS installations.
- Account Locks: Any device returned with an active iCloud, Google Account, or BIOS password that you cannot remove.
4. How the Process Works
We aim to resolve all return requests within 48 hours of receiving the device at our Ikeja or Agege branches.

5. Refunds
If a direct replacement for your gadget is unavailable, we will issue a full refund.
- Payment Method: Refunds are made via Bank Transfer to the original account used for the purchase.
- Processing Time: Please allow 3 to 5 business days for the bank to reflect the transaction.
6. Shipping Costs for Returns
- Faulty Items: If the return is due to a confirmed factory defect, Ernest Gadgets covers the cost of shipping within Nigeria.
- Change of Mind: If you are returning an item for personal reasons (e.g., you prefer a different color), the customer is responsible for the return shipping fees.
